General airline assistance. The airline or ticket seller determines whether a booking can be changed, cancelled or refunded; this is not a dedicated refund hotline.
Toll-free applies in the listed calling region. Mobile airtime or international charges may apply.
Independent contact reference. Hazel Milepost is not American Airlines’s customer-service team. The number and external routes belong to the named provider. We do not answer, transfer or record calls.
BEFORE YOU GET IN TOUCH
Changing your plans
For an existing American Airlines ticket, first identify who issued it. A direct airline booking and a ticket sold by an agency may have different servicing routes. Use the official management and policy links here to find the current process.
- Locate the original seller, ticket reference and fare conditions.
- Separate a voluntary change from a flight changed by the airline.
- Ask about fare differences, charges and remaining value before confirming an action.
- Save the confirmation of any completed change or cancellation.
